On Wednesday, November 10, 2021, the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania voided the Acting Secretary of Health’s mask mandate for schools, which had gone into effect on September 7, 2021. Later that same day, Middletown Area School District received notice from the Pennsylvania Department of Education that the Secretary of Health’s Order REMAINS IN EFFECT because the ruling has been appealed to the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
Therefore, face-coverings are still required inside MASD buildings and on MASD transportation.
