Spectator UpdateBlue Raider Fans:

We are extremely excited for our student-athletes to be able to compete this fall. There has been a tremendous amount of thought and work put into providing an opportunity for all to support our student-athletes in various ways this year. Due to the ever-changing landscape of spectator restrictions, we are moving forward with the following procedures in collaboration with the Mid-Penn Conference, District III and the PIAA.

Spectators for Football (October 16, 2020):

  • At this time, our facility (War Memorial Field) is limited by our Commonwealth’s recent matrix (see article).
  • Spectators are only permitted to be seated in a designated socially distanced marked seat. Congregation of spectators other than the marked seating is not permitted.
  • Visiting spectators are to be seated in the designated visitors’ bleachers only.
  • Pre-Approved Tickets will be issued to parents of participants, media, staff, etc using our online ticket platform only. (Ticket Spicket)
    • Each home participant will receive 2 pre-approved tickets to use as they choose via Ticket Spicket.
    • The online ticket platform is very user friendly. We highly encourage all to create an account to make entry quick and easy. Directions to do so can be viewed on this link.
    • Moving forward, here is a great video tutorial for purchasing tickets and the check-in process as well. (Video)
    • Download the Ticket Spicket mobile app
    • All can visit our Blue Raider Ticket Office online here (Ticket Office).
  • Any tickets remaining after the issued pre-approved tickets will be available for purchase as follows:
    • MASD Senior Students
      - Cash Only ($3.00 per ticket)
      - One ticket per student
      - Wednesday & Thursday during all lunch shifts at MAHS
      - If a student cannot attend the sale period, please email the Director of Athletics (rreed@raiderweb.org) for a digital ticket to be issued by Thursday at 4:00pm.
    • Community of Middletown
      - Cash only ($5.00 per ticket)
      - Two tickets per transaction only
      - Thursday from (10:00am-12:00pm) & (1:00pm-4:00pm) at MASD Administration Building (55 West Water Street)
    • Online via Ticket Spicket
      - Only $5.00 tickets available
      - Tickets will be available after 5:00pm on Thursday, until allotted limit is reached.
    • There will be no ticket sales at the door.
    • All sales are non-refundable.
  • Due to heavy restrictions on food service, there will be no concessions at this time.
  • Gates will open 45 minutes prior to the event.
  • Spectators must wear masks, have their temperatures scanned prior to entry (cannot exceed 100.4), and be seated in designated social distancing markings. We also ask that each attending spectator voluntarily respond to a COVID pre-screening questionnaire prior to coming and not attend the event if answers deem a recommended omission to public gatherings.

Watch the Blue Raiders Live Online via the NFHS Network:

  • We will be streaming all of our Soccer Matches and Football Games, and Varsity Volleyball Matches on our NEW online streaming service.

In regards to adjacent and public areas with viewpoints to our events, we respectfully request that all those utilizing these spaces do so in a safe manner by practicing social distancing and adhering to all school and CDC policies if these grounds are on District property. There will be no “tailgating” permitted on District property and all visitors not adhering to our Health and Safety Plan will be asked to leave. Only ticket holders will be permitted to park in the War Memorial Field & Fink Elementary School lot and must utilize the entrance on Conewago Street.

We realize that these are very trying times for all involved and want to be sure we do everything possible to offer our student-athletes an opportunity to compete this year. As we forge ahead, we ask that we all do our very best to stay positive and promote these safeguards so that these opportunities can continue and possibly expand.

NOTE: Please know that our guidelines may change if our Commonwealth restrictions change.

Go Raiders!

Sincerely,

Richard Reed
Director of Athletics
