Re-entry PlanRE-ENTRY CENTER
We have added a RE-ENTRY CENTER to raiderweb.org that contains important details which have been communicated to parents regarding this unique school year. The Re-entry Center will provide answers in one convenient location for subjects such as *tech support, food service changes, instructional models, parent Q&As, PowerSchool, new traffic patterns, and more. Information will be added to this page as new details continue to be released. *NOTE: we have added a tech support ticket form so you can easily contact our tech department for iPad support and other tech needs.

FOOD SERVICE OMISSION
On Tuesday evening, August 25, we emailed parents/guardians detailed information regarding this year’s Food Service Program. A specific instruction regarding the Free & Reduced Meals Application was inadvertently omitted. If you qualify for this service, please complete the online application HERE.

Also, just a reminder, if you want to opt for the “To-Go” meals, you must reply by today, Thursday, August 27th.

POWERSCHOOL IS NOW OPEN!
Parents of new students, including Kindergartners, do not have parent portals yet, but all other parents are requested to log into their PowerSchool Parent Portals to complete their annual information. Unfortunately, not all student information is viewable at this time but parents can still proceed with their updates. CLICK HERE to get started.

IMPORTANT BUILDING SPECIFIC INFORMATION ON NEW DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP PROCEDURES FOR ELEMENTARY AND MAMS STUDENTS
New traffic patterns have been developed to accommodate the increase traffic due to many parents opting to drive their children to school during this time. Each principal has developed a specific plan to accommodate increased vehicle volume during arrival and dismissal. These traffic plans are located on the Re-Entry Center.

ATHLETIC/EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITY PARTICIPATION CONSENT & LIABILITY RELEASE FOR COMMUNICABLE DISEASES
All student athletes, marching band members, cheerleaders and other students who participate in clubs will be receiving or have already received a waiver form from their coach/advisor. This form was not part of the District’s planning for return to school; therefore, it was never mentioned in any of the parent meetings held in the last month. The District received an email late last week from our insurance company indicating that a “waiver” form should be used for participation in fall sports and extracurricular activities. The form acknowledges that the District cannot eliminate the risk associated with COVID-19, despite the safety measures that have been implemented. Further, the form is designed to have parents/guardians and students acknowledge that the District is not responsible for the uncontrollable risks associated with this pandemic.

As you review the form and make a decision regarding your child’s participation in fall sports and extracurricular activities this school year, please keep the following information in mind:

1. The District will continue to take the necessary precautions to mitigate risk for your child.
2. The District will comply with federal, state and local guidelines to protect the safety of all.
3. The District may need to increase safety measures as information regarding COVID-19 evolves.
4. Any changes to the current safety protocols implemented will be communicated before they occur and will only happen when the risks associated with the pandemic have been reduced to the degree that the CDC and PA Department of Health no longer recommend that mitigation efforts are necessary.

The District’s legal counsel has developed the waiver form based upon the guidance from our insurance company. If you have any questions regarding this form, please contact Rich Reed, Director of Athletics, at rreed@raiderweb.org.
