Keystone Exams - Grade 9 & 10

Keystone Exams - Grade 9 & 10
Posted on 09/22/2020

KeystonesAny student currently in grade 9 or 10 who was scheduled to take a 2020 Spring Keystone (cancelled due to the pandemic) will be participating in the Summer Keystone exams on September 28 and/or September 29 (biology) and October 5 and/or October 6 (Algebra I). While results from this exam are not used for federal accountability purposes, students in grades 9 and 10 are impacted by Act 158 (graduation requirements), and are therefore strongly encouraged to participate in the exam(s) for which they are scheduled. Students/parents who are scheduled to participate were notified of testing via a letter which was mailed home several weeks ago. We fully understand that months have passed since students received instruction in the tested subjects, but due to the graduation requirements set forth in Act 158, we feel compelled to offer students the opportunity to take the exams as soon as possible. It is important to remember that students will have numerous opportunities to retake the exams. The primary purpose of this Keystone administration to get data surrounding reteaching needs prior to the next scheduled assessment.

Tuesday, September 29 – Biology (Cohort B & Raider Academy)
