FREE Breakfast and Lunch SEVEN Days a Week for the REMAINDER of the School Year! WOOHOO!

We have DOUBLE great news! The FREE breakfast and lunch program has been extended through the remainder of the 2020-21 school year. All you need to do is to instruct your child(ren) to eat breakfast and lunch at school. It’s that simple!

In addition, the District is offering these free meals for all seven days of the week including weekends and holidays! To receive meals on the days that your child is not at school, parents must sign up for the To-Go Meals program. The To-Go Meal categories have been modified as explained below and will be in effect starting December 1, 2020. If you have not signed up for To-Go Meals and are interested in participating, please contact Tony Colemire at tcolemire@raiderweb.org. NOTE: if you’re not interested in the To-Go Meals for the year, you might be interested in the special Thanksgiving bundle explained at the end of this message. Don’t miss it!

“TO-GO” MEALS – FIVE-DAY BRICK AND MORTAR STUDENTS:
• Parents will sign up for meals for their child(ren) to receive meals for weekends and/or holidays.
• The cafeteria will prepare the meals and deliver them to the student’s classroom.
• Teachers will distribute these meals at dismissal time.
• Parents will need to contact their child’s school office if their child is absent on the last school day of the week to arrange for meal pick-up at a different time.

“TO GO” MEALS – ELEMENTARY SCAFFOLDED MODEL (REMOTE AND ON-SITE DEPENDING ON THE DAY):
• Parents will sign up for meals for their child(ren) on the days that they are not in school.
• The cafeteria will prepare the meals and deliver them to the student’s classroom.
• Teachers will distribute these meals at dismissal time.
• Parents will need to contact their child’s school office if their child is absent on a designated distribution day to arrange for meal pick-up at a different time.

“TO GO” MEALS – MAMS & MAHS HYBRID MODEL:
• Parents will sign up for meals for their child(ren) on the days that they are not in school.
• The cafeteria will prepare the meals for pick-up.
• Students will pick-up their meals at dismissal time.
• Parents will need to contact their child’s school office if their child is absent on a designated distribution day to arrange for meal pick-up at a different time.

“TO GO” MEALS – FULL REMOTE LEARNING OR RAIDER ACADEMY:
• Parents will sign up to receive meals for their child(ren) on the days that they are not in school.
• Parents will pick-up meals at a designated location as described below.
• Meals can be picked up by the student or parent. The student’s name, school ID, or cafeteria pin number will be required to receive meals.
• In order to provide fresh food items over the seven-day period, there will now be two pick-up days per week. You will receive 3-days worth of meals on the first pick-up day and 4-days worth of meals at the second pick-up day. Meals will no longer be distributed on Wednesdays.

REVISED PICK-UP DAYS:

Tuesdays at Fink and *High School
11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
You will receive 3-days worth of breakfast and lunch per child.
*The High School pick-up location on Tuesdays is at the front entrance.

Thursdays at *High School Only
4:00 - 5:30 p.m.
You will receive 4-days worth of breakfast and lunch per child.
*The High School pick-up location on Thursday is located on the right side of the building where RaiderPacks are distributed.

NEW! Special Thanksgiving Recess Meal Bundle For All Students

If you would like to receive meals for just the Thanksgiving Recess and not necessarily for the remainder of the school year, please contact Tony Colemire at tcolemire@raiderweb.org BY FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 20 to place your order. The To-Go Meal distribution for Thanksgiving Recess will be held on Tuesday, November 24 at the front entrance of the High School and the back entrance of Fink from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.


REMINDER! Please Complete Your Free/Reduced Meal Application

Although meals are free for all students this year, if you have not received an eligibility notification from the District for free/reduced meals for this school year, we encourage you to complete the application. Information from Free/Reduced Meals Applications may be used to determine eligibility for your child to receive reductions in student activities expenses and/or school related fees. The District also relies on this data for other programs that benefit our students. Get started HERE.
