Free/Reduced Meal Applications Due

Free/Reduced Meal Applications Due
Posted on 10/08/2019

The free/reduced meal program offered at MASD allows a 30-day grace period at the start of the year for households to complete their annual application. Child(ren)'s eligibility for free or reduced-price meals WILL EXPIRE BEGINNING WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 09, 2019 if their application has not been completed. Information about the application process was mailed to households who are in jeopardy of losing their free/reduced status.

If you have not received confirmation that your child(ren) has been approved for free/reduced meals this school year, an application must be completed and returned to the school to determine if your child(ren) is eligible for free or reduced-price meals.

If you qualified last year based on SNAP or TANF benefits and did not receive an approval letter for the 2019-20 school year, you must complete an application to determine if you qualify for free/reduced meals.

Failure to fill out an application will result in your child(ren) being charged for school meals at regular meal prices beginning Wednesday, October 9, 2019.

You can submit Free and Reduced-Price Meal Applications online by logging into The application is quick and easy. Applying online will speed up the determination process and benefits can be utilized sooner. Please remember to include all students in your household that attend school in Middletown Area School District on the same application.

If you would like to complete a paper application, you can print the 2019-2020 meal application HERE, or pick up a copy at your child's school.
