Each MAHS student must choose a Career Pathway which focuses their elective courses toward preparing for a specific goal area. A Pathway is a broad grouping of careers that share similar characteristics and whose employment requirements call for many common interests, strengths and competencies. The five Career Pathways are: Arts & Communications; Business, Finance and Information Technology; Engineering and Industrial Technology; Human Services; and Science & Health. Throughout the 2019-2020 school year, each of the five Pathways will be featured on the MASD website.

The Human Services Pathway is designed to cultivate students’ interests, skills and experiences for employment in careers related to family and human needs. This pathway caters to students who are interested in communication services, helping and protecting others, working with people serving others’ needs, selling products and services, and searching for answers to societal problems.
