Hartwick, Suski & MehaffieDuring the MAHS Turf Stadium Dedication Ceremony on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, State Representative Thomas L. Mehaffie III, 106th District presented the citation below to Dr. Lori A. Suski, Superintendent of Schools, in honor of her retirement from Middletown Area School District. Dr. Suski has completed 21 years of service to MASD and will begin her next chapter on August 30, 2021.

Whereas, Dr. Lori A. Suski is being honored upon her retirement from the Middletown Area School District after a career spanning more than thirty-two years of dedicated and distinguished service; and

Whereas, Dr. Suski began her career in education in August 1989 as an Elementary Teacher for the Central Dauphin School District and was promoted to Assistant Elementary Principal for the same school district in July 1999 before being hired by the Middletown Area School District in July 2000 as the John C. Kunkel Elementary School Principal. She was later promoted by the Middletown Area School District to the roles of Assistant Superintendent in July 2007 and Superintendent of Schools in July 2012. Dr. Suski served in the role of Superintendent of Schools for more than nine years, having the longest tenure in that role in the last four decades. During Dr. Suski’s tenure as Superintendent of Schools she supervised the construction of the new Middletown Area High School and the first synthetic turf athletic field for Middletown Area School District. Dr. Suski faithfully displayed great loyalty, commitment and professionalism in the performance of her duties as an educator in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She served with consummate skill, upheld the laws of this Commonwealth and served as a role model for all those who aspire to a career in education.

Now therefore, the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania pays a respectful tribute to Dr. Lori A. Suski upon her richly deserved retirement; notes with pride and gratitude her record of service, which far exceeds those standards normally ascribed as exemplary; offers best wishes for every future success and happiness;

And directs that a copy of this citation, sponsored by the Honorable Thomas L. Mehaffie, III, be transmitted to Dr. Lori A. Suski.
