HANDBOOKS

Parents and students are responsible for following all the guidelines included in the Student Code of Conduct & District Handbook as well as the school-specific Student Handbooks. All handbooks, as well as quick reference guides for dress code regulations, can be found at FOR PARENTS.

COVID PRE-SCREENING GUIDELINES

Before sending your student(s) to school, please pre-screen your child using THIS CHECKLIST every morning.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES

The District provides most of the necessary classroom supplies. Seventh and eighth graders received a supply list at the end of the school year which can also be picked up at the MAMS office and is located on the FOR PARENTS page. All other teachers will inform their students on the first day of school if they have any specific requirements for their class.

HOW TO RECEIVE DISTRICT COMMUNICATIONS

Raiderweb.org is your main source of information. Please check there first for any questions you may have. Follow us on Facebook or Twitter to view MASD news as soon as it is released.

If you aren’t receiving emails from the District, you may have blocked us or our email may be going to your junk/spam folder. Check your junk folder for [email protected] and allow access. The other possibility is that we don’t have a current email address for your household so update check your SchoolMessenger information in PowerSchool.

SCHOOL MEALS

MASD will continue to offer a FREE breakfast and a FREE lunch to all students during the 2021-2022 school year. The free meal must be a complete meal and will not include à la carte items nor the purchase of an individual drink for those who bring their own lunch.

Although meals are free for all students this year, we encourage eligible families to complete the application process. Information from Free/Reduced Meals Applications may be used to determine eligibility for your child to receive reductions in student activities expenses and/or school related fees. The District also relies on this data for other programs that benefit our students. Submit your application here.

Families with higher incomes may qualify for low-cost or at-cost CHIP, which still includes the same comprehensive benefits. Families whose incomes fall below CHIP guidelines may be enrolled in Medical Assistance.

Families who need health insurance are encouraged to apply right away. CHIP enrollment information is available by visiting chipcoverspakids.com or calling 800-986-KIDS. Complete information can be viewed on our Student Insurance page.
