2020-2021 Student Registration

Due to the current health situation involving COVID-19, the District has CANCELED all in-person registration APPOINTMENTS. Parents/Guardians must send their paperwork to the school district by one of the following three methods: [email protected], fax (717-948-3329), or by putting copies in the drop box, which is located to the left of the double doors in the front of the MASD Administration Building at 55 W. Water Street.

KINDERGARTEN INFORMATION:
  • Children must be age five on or before September 1, 2020 to be registered.
  • Pennsylvania’s new compulsory attendance law requires all students ages 6 to 18 to attend school.
  • Attending school means enrolling your child in a regular public school, charter school, licensed private or religious school, or an approved homeschooling program.
  • If your child turns age 6 at any point during the 2020-2021 school year, they must be enrolled in school by the fall of 2020.
  • Kindergarten school placements and homeroom assignments are determined during the summer after enrollment and teacher hiring is completed. Parents/Guardians will receive their child's assignments in their Back-To-School letters.



1. Register Your Child

  • Your child must turn five (5) years of age on or before September 1, 2020.
  • You will need a valid email address or phone number to create a parent account for our online registration system.

2. Submit Your Paperwork

Please send the following paperwork to the school district by one of the following methods: email, fax, or by putting copies in the drop box, which is located to the left of the double doors in the front of the MASD Administration Building at 55 W. Water Street:

  • A copy of the student's Birth Certificate
  • One Proof of Residency (see below for accepted proofs)
  • Two Forms of identification (see below for accepted forms)
  • Evidence of Immunizations (Click HERE for English; Click HERE for Spanish)
  • If applicable: most recent IEP, ER, RR, Agency Letter of Placement, or Court Order (Proof of Guardianship)

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS 

When will I find out which building my child with attend? Final placements are determined over the summer. Letters are mailed out to parents in the month of August.

What are acceptable proofs of residency?

  • Deed
  • Agreement of Sale
  • Lease containing your name and verified by the building superintendent
  • Real estate tax bill or paid real estate tax receipt

What are acceptable forms of identification?

  • Valid PA Department of Transportation license or identification with current address in the District
  • W-2 statement/IRS statement or tax return
  • Auto/Homeowner's/Tenant's Insurance statement
  • Copy of state/federal Program Enrollment
  • Voter registration card noting township or borough
  • Current utility bill (gas, electric, water, sewer)
