Future Business Leaders Excel at Regional and State Competitions

The MAHS Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) held their annual awards ceremony to mark the accomplishments of members. In the fall, ten students competed at the Regional Competition/Conference (RLC), and of the ten, six qualified to attend the state competition (SLC) held this spring. Participating at the SLC were Dravin Murti, Jalyiana Dohner, Jillian Hess, Jason Maldonado, Emily Ortiz-Segura, and Krish Shah. Dravin Murti (pictured below) placed in the top ten at the state Photo of Dravin Murti competition, capturing seventh place in Broadcast Journalism.

FBLA is the oldest and largest national organization for students preparing for careers in business. FBLA prepares students for “real-world” professional experiences. Members gain the competitive edge for college and career successes. More than a quarter of a million students participate in this dynamic leadership organization.

Thank you Mrs. Jamie Shellhamer, MAHS business teacher and FBLA Advisor for investing time in our future business leaders!
